WORK PERMIT IN CYPRUS
Work permit for international students in Cyprus

Currently, the law of Cyprus allows all the students, including those who do not belong to the EU nations, to work during their studies in Cyprus under certain conditions. To be eligible to apply for a work permit, a student must have been enrolled in a recognized program at a recognized university or college in Cyprus for at least six months as a full-time student. Similarly, he/she must be continuing his/her studies there as a full-time student.

Students from third countries (outside the EU) are now allowed to work up to 20 hours per week during the academic term period, and they are allowed to work full-time during the vacations.

The law that permits international students to work part-time during their studies in Cyprus is a directive of EU. Which means that all the other nations, which are the members of EU, will follow the similar law as that of Cyprus allowing international students to work in those countries while studying.
